Here is an easy and qiuck way to check your rig's prop slip, just go to http://www.mercuryracing.com/propellers/propslipcalculator.php and enter your info. You must know your gear ratio, have a GPS speed, rpm and the pitch of your propeller. Every boat is different. If your planning to have your prop balanced and blueprinted, do this with your present numbers, have the prop worked and check again, you will see your slip number drop from becoming more efficient resulting a higher top speed and increased fuel mileage.
