i had quite at hard time getting my butt seat out of the base in the deck so guess its time to clean it again. ive always just degreased the threads and the shaft of the pedestal and then shine it up with a bit of sand paper. i figure it would help to clean the hole in the deck plate too. the idea i have for doing this is to put one of my shotgun bore brushes in my drill and ream it out a bit, just enough to knock any corrosion off. just wondering if any of you guys have figured out a better way of doing this
