hey guys ive been looking around fora while now at some new reels. i have had a couple of thaughts but wanted an honest opinion. i want somthing that is gonna last, somthing that is smooth (around 9 to 11 bearings) with great braking system, and quality built. i fish alot of plastics (flippin/pitchin, C-rig,T-rig)spinnerbait /buzzbait, gonna start getting into crankbaits also. i would like to stay at $400 or less.

Are the daiwa zillion type r worth the money ($400) new and around ($300) used? the only problem i see here is they are only 7.3:1, i knoe 5.4:1 is saught after for cranking.

KVD tour series, they come in all the different speed ratios but are they a good reel? they are also ($300) new. i have heard great things bout this reels but the only con is the cast control is easily moved by your hand. ive owned the older pt energy and it has lasted me 4 years or so now.

Ive also looked into the new lews reel but the only thing i dont like about that is the magnesium parts i dont want it to fall apart a few years down the rod. i also dont want it to have any play when a fish is on the other end. ive heard that there min play but only in the reel handle? could i upgrade the bearings and it be as smooth as the other 2 i mentioned?

no hard feelings im not a shimano guy or abu fan. i know ill get S*** for that but hey.

i would like to hear from anyone with any of these reels and what they think the pros and cons are of the three i listed. thanks alot guys

Dan
