Arbuckle:: August 2. Elevation below normal, water 83. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on bill baits, jigs and jerk baits in pearl and chartreuse from the surface to 15 ft. around brush structure, points, rocks and moss beds early morning and overcast days with some wind are best. Smallmouth bass slow on topwater lures in pearl and orange belly from the surface to 4 ft. in the main lake and around points at first light. White bass and crappie good on lipless baits, crankbaits and grubs from the surface to 12 ft. in the main lake, shorelines and the main lake. Crappie fair on lipless baits, crankbaits, grubs and hair jigs at 12-22 ft. around brush structure, weed beds and marked brush piles. Channel catfish slow on dough bait and minnows in the main lake and creek channels. Report submitted by Jack Melton.
Blue River: July 28. Elevation normal, water 84 and clear. Smallmouth, spotted and largemouth bass excellent on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and topwater lures at 2-6 ft. in channels, rocks, around brush structure and below waterfalls. Channel catfish excellent on worms, stinkbait and chicken liver at 3-8 ft. in channels, around rocks and large pools. Sunfish and bluegill excellent on small lures, worms, grasshoppers and grubs at 1-3 ft. in shallows, along shorelines and weed beds. Flathead catfish fair on worms, sunfish and live bait at 4-8 ft. in the river channel, around rocks and deeper pools below riffles; best at night. Broken Bow: August 3. Elevation normal, water 78. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on Alabama rigs, plastic baits and jerk baits at 20-25 ft. around brush structure, standing timber and riprap. Crappie good on jigs, spoons and tube jigs at 15-20 ft. around brush structure and standing timber. Channel catfish good on worms, stinkbait, punch bait and chicken liver at 15-20 ft. in channels, the river mouth and river channel. Eufaula: August 3. Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water clear. Largemouth bass fair on soft plastic baits and deep running crankbaits around deep points. White bass fair trolling crankbaits along flats. Blue catfish fair on a variety of baits around deeper rocky areas and deeper flats. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around bridges and standing timber. Report submitted by Ed Rodebush, game warden stationed in McIntosh County. Hugo: August 3. Elevation above normal, water 82. Crappie fair on minnows at 15-25 ft. in creek channel and standing timber. Blue catfish fair on cut bait, stinkbait and shad at 5-10 ft. in the river channel. Konawa: July 1. Elevation above normal, water 82. Largemouth bass good on plastic baits, topwater lures and live bait around brush structure, weed beds and shallows. Channel and blue catfish good on dough bait, cut bait, stinkbait and worms at 4-8 ft. along shallows, points and creek channels. White bass and striped bass hybrids slow on cut bait, jigs, spoons and crankbaits in creek channels, the discharge and around points. Lower Mountain Fork: August 3. Elevation normal, water 67 and clear. Trout good on nymphs and Power Bait along rocks and spillway. Report submitted by Mark Hannah, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

July 25. Stocked 1,447 pounds, approximately 2,400 rainbow trout on July 22. Report submitted by April Drake, secretary at the southeast regional office.


McGee Creek:
July 27. Elevation normal, water 80 and clear. Crappie good on minnows at 16-20 ft. around brush structure. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on Alabama rigs and plastic baits at 20-24 ft. around points and rocks. Report submitted by Larry Luman, game warden stationed in Atoka County.



Murray: August 4. Elevation below normal, water 78 and clear. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on topwater lures, spinnerbaits, plastic baits and white spinnerbaits from the surface to 20 ft. along rocks, points and the main lake early morning and late evening. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver, shad, worms and punch bait at 5-20 ft. in creek channels, shallows and the main lake. Crappie slow on jigs, small lures and minnows at 10-20 ft. around brush structure, docks and points. White bass slow on crankbaits, small lures, sassy shad and topwater lures from the surface to 20 ft. in the main lake, creek channels and points. Pine Creek: August 3. Elevation normal, water 79 and clear. Largemouth bass good on plastic baits and buzz baits in coves and around standing timber. Crappie good on minnows and brush structure. Channel catfish excellent on worms and stinkbait below the dam. Report submitted by Mark Hannah, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.


Robber's Cave State Park: No report submitted. Robert S. Kerr: August 4. Elevation normal, water 87. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on bill baits, tube jigs and flukes around brush structure, shorelines and points. Striped and white bass good on Alabama rigs, bill baits and live bait in the river channel. Blue, channel and flathead catfish excellent on cut bait, live bait, chicken liver and dough bait in the river channel, river mouth and flats. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs around brush structure and standing timber. Report submitted by Dane Polk, game warden stationed in Pushmataha County.


Sardis: August 4. Elevation above normal, water 84. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on buzz baits, spinnerbaits and plastic baits at 5-14 ft. along brush structure, weed beds and rocks. Crappie fair on jigs, tube jigs, minnows and small lures at 12-14 ft. around brush structure, standing timber and creek channels. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait, sunfish and shad in channels and flats. Report submitted by Dane Polk, game warden stationed in Pushmataha County.




Texoma: August 3. Elevation below normal, water 84. Largemouth and smallmouth bass good on plastic baits, topwater lures and crankbaits at 10-20 ft. along riprap, creek channels and brush structure. Striped and white bass good on live shad, topwater lures, slabs and sassy shad at 10-25 ft. from Platter Flats to the islands. Chanel and blue catfish good on live bait, worms and stinkbait at 10-20 ft. along riprap and creek channels; these fish are being caught in the mouth of the Washita River and on the Red River past Sanders Island view. Crappie and sunfish good on small lures, minnows and tube jigs at 5-15 ft. around brush structure, docks and creek channels. Report submitted by Danny Clubb, game warden stationed in Bryan County.


Wister: August 3. Elevation normal, water 83. Largemouth and spotted bass fair on bill baits, crankbaits and spinnerbaits at 4-16 ft. around brush structure. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs at 12-14 ft. in the main lake and along shorelines. Flathead catfish fair on sunfish at 4-12 ft. in the river channel.
