This is the first repairs I have ever done to a boat so any help will be appreciated. I bought a 1982 Glastron HPV-175 a few months ago and have been doing the repairs slowly. The person I bought it from had started replacing the floor but left a spot around the gas tank open.
Do I need to build a box covering the tank? my plan was to cover the hole in front of the tank with another piece of plywood. Then to place a vent cover on the piece in front of the tank. Then to build a seat base that will sit on top of most of it, picture 4 shows what I was going to use as a seat base.
The bilge area is behind the tank. It has rained where I am at in Texas for the last 3 days so I took the pictures with the boat cover still on, I will post better pictures of the area and the rest of the boat the first day it is dry.
