how to keep Trolling Motor foot control still?

On my Nitro it does have a built in foot control pocket/tray. Problem is, when ever I deploy the motorguide tm, one side of the foot controller allways comes out of the pocket. I have the cable type tm. Other then screwing the foot controller to the fiberglass pocket,(i dont really want to do that), is there a way to hold the foot control down?
