[ICAST 2023] Hyperfast – Tatula 100 Baitcasting Reel from Daiwa
Need a hyper-fast baitcaster? Daiwa has you covered with their all-new Tatula 100 with Hyperdrive Design. This is their newest addition to the already popular Tatula line being shown off at ICAST 2023. Coming in with a redesigned reel frame, expect better ergonomics so you can confidently and comfortably have the reel in hand. Along with the reel frame changes, the internals have been revamped with Daiwa’s patented Hyper-Drive design. This makes the Tatula have smooth performance and tons of power. The spool on the reel is made of A7075 aluminum alloy, a lighter spool material, giving anglers the opportunity to cast longer distances or cast lighter finesse baits with greater control, this is due to reduced inertia in the spool.
The new Hyper-Drive Tatula 100 has the Daiwa T-Wing line guide. This gives you maximum casting distance, the T-Wing shifts up and down as you’re casting or reeling for a wider line guide for a shallower angle as the line comes off the spool. The reel also has Zero Adjuster cast control for optimal spool tensioning, along with Magforce cast control to help keep you from backlashing the reel. The Tatula 100 Hyperdrive is coming out in 3 gearing options; 6.3:1, 7.1:1, and 8.1:1, and comes in both left and right-handed retrieve. MSRP for them will be $179.99 and should be available purchase this fall.
