[ICAST 2023] Mustad’s NEW AlphaPoint 4.8 Hooks
Mustad known worldwide and an industry leader in fishing hooks since 1877, has brought out a new line of hooks to ICAST 2023. To continue their legacy of hook excellence, the AlphaPoint 4.8 hooks. This new line has its roots in a solid foundation of premium hook technologies that have been all rolled together to make the AlphaPoint 4.8 hooks possible. These new hooks have an even sharper and stronger needlepoint on them that is just 4.8 times the wire diameter of the hook. These elongated points let you get deeper, and faster hooksets with just the slightest pressure applied.
[ICAST 2023] Mustad’s NEW AlphaPoint 4.8 Hooks
The AlphaPoint 4.8 line of hooks is coming out in both freshwater and saltwater options. The freshwater hooks come with Mustad’s TitanX coating, a nano-thin finish that keeps the point of the hooks sticky sharp while the rest of the hook stays super smooth for better penetration. The saltwater hooks will have Mustad’s Titan Steel Finish, which can stand up to 500+ hours of saltwater corrosion resistance, second only to stainless steel. The point angles on these hooks are set at a 21-degree secondary bevel, for optimum durability in the long run. These hooks are available now in limited models and should be rolling out in full soon.
