[ICAST 2025] DIY Swimbaits – Epic Bait Molds Epic Internal System
Epic Bait Molds is here at ICAST 2025 with a world-record 6.5-foot-long soft plastic worm and, more importantly, the new Epic Internal System. This is their new patent-pending mold system, which allows anglers to create their own internally weighted swimbaits. Perfect for the angler who likes DIY and wants a swimbait in a color pattern unique to only their tackle box. This is a 3-part mold system, first with the LM-1 Lead mold. This is a 5-cavity mold that allows anglers to make 1/8oz, 3/16oz, 1/4oz, 3/8oz, and 1/2oz internal jigs. This mold is machined from 6061 Aluminium and has Cherry Hardwood handles. This mold is compatible with Victory 10786 BN 3/0 and Mustad 32786 NP-BN 3/0 hooks. The next two parts of the Epic Internal System are the 3.4in Fin Kicker Hand Injection Mold and the 4.6in Fin Swim Hand Injection Mold. Giving anglers the choice between a flutter tail swimbait and a paddle tail swimbait. Both are 4-cavity molds that have been precision machined out of 6061 Aluminum. These molds are compatible with normal medium blend plastisol at a temperature of 310-320°F and have a screw provided in each cavity to make sure each jighead is held exactly in the right place. MSRP for the LM-1 Lead Mold is $165, and each Hand Injection Mold has an MSRP of $230. This whole system is available now at the Epic Bait Molds website.
