Well this cold weather isn't great for fishing but it sure is helping us out with invasive species in Southern Florida. The FWC found some dead pythons and couldn't find any African Rock Pythons when they went out to the Everglades recently. They are hoping this cold weather killed them off.
Also those big green iguanas that established themselves here years ago are getting so cold that they are pretty much freezing in place and dropping out of the trees. their metabolism gets so slow they go into some kind of coma like state and drop like rocks from the trees.
