As some of you already know, the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers are on the way to scary record high levels.
I am located next the Mississippi River in Greenville, Ms which is in the Miss Delta that is an old flood plaine before the leve system was built back in the 20's.
Our normal flood stage is 48 feet (this is a river guage reading in Greenville), the forecast is to see this guage read 60 feet on the 15th of May, record high is from 1973 which is 58 feet.
What this boils down to is if our leve was to break, the Mississippi Delta would be destroyed as we know it.
This message is part of my being prepared in the case of a flood event, It will take who knows how long for me to recover and get back on line.
