Well, the highly awaited round 2 of the King of the Glades series finally got here this past weekend. Get to the ramp at Holiday Park by 5:30am, only to be greeted by 30-35 mph winds, water levels reaching the parking lot (couldn't even see the ramp), and 52 degree temps. Ran 40 miles to my honey hole in what felt like 40 degree weather running wide open the whole way. Cold front had come through overnight and rough fishing conditions with a very sloooooow bite. After all was said and done, moved up to 17th place after round 2 out of probably 120 or more anglers and am not in contention for the Classic after 2 of 5 events (top 18 make the cut for the big event). Managed to weigh in 3 nice keepers and probably caught 12-15 fish all day. Not too shabby considering half the field weighed in a big goose egg! One of my hardest fishing days out there in my 25 years of bass fishing but felt good about the results. On to Lake O for round 3 next month...
