Kevin VanDam is the B.O.A.T. (best of all time). But that doesn't make him immune to the peaks and valleys of a career in professional fishing, and right now he's in the one deepest valleys he's ever had to cross. KVD entered this tournament in 42nd place in the AOY standings — not bad, but not good if you want to qualify for the 2015 Bassmaster Classic ... and not safe if you want to be in the Top 50 so as to qualify for the Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year Championship on Bays de Noc next month.
