When I get my Gambler back I'm going to add livewell pump-out pumps. My original thought was to use the same hole that use to contain the drain fitting. But, this '07 loaner I have has the pump-out mounted on the side. There's no way it would ever pump out all the water leaving about 2-3"s in any case. Anybody want to chance a guess as to why it's mounted on the side? Less chance of getting plugged up? I don't know. I'll probably still mount mine to the bottom of the livewell unless someone can provide a logical reason as to why that would be a bad choice.
