I remember back in the day when all we had were Flashers(60 scale mostly)..
And I recall the word going around was..." don't leave the unit on" up front while running down the lake...or when the boat is not on the water..(carport)
How about these days with the new readout,LCD, GPS etc..or just gray scale on the bow..
turning it off on long runs saves battery time and overall unit use for sure..no prob...
how about when bringing the troller up and spot hop? ...like 15 or so min ?..
maybe 30 max...or learning a new unit at home...Forgot if i know
