The morning started out sweet. Bass busting in the pads, bait balls swirling everywhere and tarpon rolling all around the boats. I'm in my boat with my nephew, my other nephew is in his boat with my brother-in-law. He catches a small tarpon on a top water plug right in front of us. Then I catch the peacock in the attached photo. Things slowed down so we decided to move and record our boats running with I-phones. We were running side by side and then I excelerated and pulled ahead as we came to a narrowing of the canal. My nephew in the other boat pulled behind us and as he crossed my wake, the bounce ejected my brother-in-law from the boat. He was OK but lost his phone, hat and wallet got wet.
Fortunately he wasn't hurt and we continued fishing until noon but with no more success. Be very careful out there especially since most of your boats go faster than ours. We never saw it coming or ever would have thought it could happen.
And yes...coming to a YouTube video near you...the video will be posted if he doesn't object.
