Lake Taneycomo: 51 degrees, normal, clear; upper lake: rainbow trout good on flies, Rooster Tails, and marabou jigs; lower lake: rainbow trout good on bubblegum, chartreuse and orange colored Power Baits, nightcrawlers and crankbaits. (Report made on 5/12/2010)
Pomme de Terre: 65 degrees, high, clear; crappie good in 10' to 12' of water around structures on minnows; black bass good in 6' to 8' of water near shore; catfish good; walleye good on crankbaits and nightcrawlers on flats; muskie and white bass slow. (Report made on 5/13/2010)

TROUT PARKS
Bennett Spring State Park: 57 degrees, normal, clear; spring level about normal and slightly off color; best lures: black/yellow and white/pink marabou jigs, pale pink glo balls, pearl grizzly and blue colored Cracklebacks, cream midges, skunk colored Rooster Tails, black and yellow wooly buggers with gold plated head, garlic and yellow colored Power Baits and kapok.
May fishing hours are 6:30a.m. to 8:15p.m.

Maramec Spring Park: 56 degrees, rising, dingy; orange worms with a white stripe working well; green and brown woolies good; spring is rising, river is high and muddy but within banks. Kids Fishing Day is May 15. (Report made on 5/13/2010)
Montauk State Park: 58 degrees, rising, dingy; river is stained from the recent rains and is rising slightly. For best results come early and get your spot, use light line, 2 to 3 lb test is best. Check at the lodge for advice on what is working the best. In the Fly zone: wooly buggers, scuds and nymphs are working well, and dry flies can produce good numbers of fish in the late afternoons; in the bait area: dough and putty baits of all colors are catching nice fish, along with corn and cheese fished under a bobber.
