I was walking through the parking lot at the launch ramp the other day and noticed that hardly any of the trailers had their safety chains crossed. They were pretty much all hooked up straight. I was taught by my grandfather to always cross them so if the trailer comes loose they form an x to catch the trailer rather than let it hit the ground and dig in.
