Need a little help thinking bout moving up

I have a question for you all. I currently have a Champion 18ft with a 150 Suzuki outboard. Ive come across a 1988 Skeeter with the center console it is equipped with a Johnson 300 outboard on the back. The boat needs a new prop shaft and the o-rings replaced on the tilt and trim and it also needs some new carpet and probably gel coated from the looks of it as well as some small stuff; talk to the guy said the motor runs said he traded for it said he would take 2600.00 for it what you guys think anything else I should ask about it says he doesn't know the last time it was maintenance kind of worries me.
