I purchased a cottage on Branch Lake midway between Bangor and Ellsworth Maine which included a 1999 starcraft bass boat and 40 hp merc 4 stroke. Boat unused for 6 years and only 11 total hours when I bought it.
Had the contaminated fuel polished............contractor came to boat and ran the fuel through a closed loop filtering system. Eliminated water and contaminants greater than 30 mircron. Worked great...........this was totally new to me, are there fuel polishers in your area?
I'll add a transom boat ladder this fall. Looks like the Garelick (sp?) transom platform w ladder is best alternative that I have seen but it does seem pricey. Can anyone suggest a transom clamp which would accomodate a wood ladder I can build from mahogoney.
I'm going to try fresh water fishing for first time in 50 years next month. This is a good smallmouth bass lake also has salmon and lake trout in 140 foot depths. Need to master Texas jig and Carolina jig for our grassy bottom. Locals swear by light color or black plastics............very clear water. Sept will be my first time bass fishing. Suggestions appreciated
