looking for opinions: When buying a used boat, I am buying a motor with a boat attached. So, given the same year what are the advantages/disadvantages to EFI and Carbs. 1999 Javelin 19' with a Johnson Carb 175, 99 Viper 20' with a Merc 225 EFI (3,000 more) 2003 Triton TR-20 with Yamaha 225 (6ooo more than the Javelin, 2003 Procraft 19' with Merc 150 carb (4000 more than Javelin Power Poles brand new electronics).
