offset pedestal seat base??

i have a 17-8 skeeter sx180 with minimal front deck space when my seat pedestal is in use with trolling pedal at my feet and rods on both sides on deck and was wondering if anyone has modified thier seat pole base to setback the pole about 6" or so?
i have a factory in floor 3/4" threaded pole mount and i use a swivel eze adjustable seat pole.

any tips or suggestions would be appreciated as i have a brother that is a welder...
