If you could pick a TV personality to fish with at a spot you'd pick to go, who would it be and where would you go? As much as I think redfishing would be great with Shaw, Okeechobee with Martin, huge northern and lakers with either Lindner, or a lot of laughing with Jimmy H, I'd go with Bill Dance and flip cypress roots.
Bill seems to be the easiest to listen to and most knowledgable person to me and flipping is my favorite bass technique. I've watched him fish the cypress trees before and that is the one method that sticks in my mind for years now.
Someday I'll get to some of those lakes that have the cypress trees and offshore duck blinds and flip until my arms fall off. One of the great disappointments for me in OK is the lack of lily pads or brush to flip. It's more of a crankin' or wormin' game then anything else, with riprap dams and red clay banks.
