I was going fishing this morning so i decided to start the motor last night just to make sure it was ok and noticed the pisser (tell tale) shooting out water extremely weak. Good thing I checked as I removed the water line that goes to the pisser this morning and found a whole bunch of sediments and minor crap clogging up where the hose meets the pisser. After cleaning it out, the pisser was shooting strong as ever again.
I also read on a forum that drilling a bigger hole on the cowling, removing the pisser nozzle, and running the actual hose out of the cowling will eliminate these clogs from happening. Gotta do a little more research before I do this though.
Moral of the story... Check your motor before going out. Luckily for me, it was just dirt on the pisser (hate when that happens
) but it could have been a bad impeller or water pump, potentially causing major damage to the motor.
