New to this site and looking for some help with my boat. Recently bought a Ranger 185vx, beautiful boat but its a pig to drive. No lift and has a tendency to run nose down and blow out bad in turns. Prop slips bad and takes forever to finally bite. I have a 175 HPDI, no jack plate, and a Yamaha 23M prop. Best I can tell, the prop shaft is about 4 1/2 to 4 3/4 below the pad. Top speed is around 52 at 5200rpm's (GPS). I'd appreciate any advice.
