I'm interested in building my own rods but there's so much out there to chose from. Not to mention there's the budget issue. What do you look for in a blank when you go to work on a new rod? I've been looking at the new MHX blanks that mudhole.com offers. These blanks carry a good price tag for my budget. Are there others in this price range that are better? Looking for a blank that is sensitive but strong...kind of like a military wife.
It also needs to be light.
