I have an 1986 150 Rude VRO that was converted to premix Eons ago. I has run on petroleum all its life but I do have smoking issues at low speeds. I have been considering switchin to Pensoil synthetic. Do you guys think that that would help the smoking issue and would it be safe to use on an old engine like mine? I have been told that synthetic oils don't have the rust inhibitor that petroleum does?
