Water Body Report
NORTH SABINE The region received lots of rain which should swell the river. Trout are fair to good on the Louisiana shoreline on topwaters and Corkies. Flounder are fair on jigs tipped with shrimp around marsh drains.

SOUTH SABINE Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good around Garrison Ridge on topwaters and Corkies.

BOLIVAR Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

TRINITY BAY Trout are good for drifters working pods of shad and mullet on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Catfish are good in the marsh on shrimp. The bay received much needed rain to reduce high salinity levels.

EAST GALVESTON BAY Trout are good on the south shoreline on Catch 5s, MirrOlures and Catch 2000s. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Black drum are fair to good in the Ship Channel on crabs.

WEST GALVESTON BAY Trout are fair to good for drifters working shell on live shrimp. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Redfish are good in the back lakes on shrimp and Gulps.

FREEPORT Trout are beginning to show at San Luis Pass. Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs in Christmas Bay. Black drum are good at the jetties on cracked blue crabs.

ROCKPORT Trout are fair to good in Morris-Cummings Cut on free-lined shrimp. Black drum are good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs. Redfish are good in the back of Allyn’s Bight.

PORT ARANSAS Black drum are good in the Shrimpboat Channel on crabs and finger mullet. Redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp.

CORPUS CHRISTI Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Black drum and redfish are fair to good in the Packery Channel on crabs.

BAFFIN BAY Black drum are good in the Land Cut on crabs. Trout are fair to good in the Land Cut on live shrimp.

PORT MANSFIELD Trout are fair to good on topwaters around sand and grass south of the harbor. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes. Black drum and redfish are good on crabs at East Cut.

SOUTH PADRE Trout are good around the spoil islands, channel edges and color changes on DOA Shrimp in 3-4 feet of water. Black drum, redfish and jack crevalle have been taken at the jetty. Flounder are fair to good on the spoils along the ICW.

PORT ISABEL Trout and redfish are fair to good at Gas Well Flats on live shrimp. Redfish are fair at Mexiquita Flats and South Bay on DOA Shrimp and live shrimp.

Water Body Report
ALAN HENRY Water lightly stained; 57 degrees; 1.25' low. Black bass are good on white spinnerbaits along tree lines at creek channels and bends, and on watermelon soft jerkbaits, black/chanteuse jigs and live bait suspended in trees and buck brush. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on live bait.

AMISTAD Water clear; 66 degrees; 1.89’ high. Black bass are good on green tubes, Senkos, and spinnerbaits in 12 – 42 feet. Striped bass are good on redfins. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and trolling hellbender crankbaits. Catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

ARROWHEAD Water lightly stained; 61 degrees; 7.33' low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits or black/blue jigs off rocky points and rip-rap. Crappie are good on minnows fished at the east side bridges and state park piers in the early morning with some fish moving shallow. White bass are fair trolling and casting to rocky points near Pawnee Point boat ramp. Blue Catfish are good drift fishing with cut shad or cheese baits on flats in 12-15 feet.

ATHENS Water lightly stained, 69-74 degrees; 0.37' high. Black bass are fair on Senkos and split shot rigged finesse soft plastics. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs with some movement towards the creeks. Catfish are good on prepared bait and nightcrawlers.

BASTROP Water clear. Black bass are good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft plastic worms and lizards. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are very good on live bait, frozen shrimp, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON Water clear; 64 degrees; 2.21’ low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and minnows. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on minnows and white riversides under lights at night. Crappie are good on minnows and white riversides. Channel and blue catfish are good on hot dogs, shrimp, Spam, and frozen shad. Yellow catfish are good on juglines baited with live perch.

BOB SANDLIN Water stained; 68-74 degrees; 0.28' high. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, wacky rigs and jerkbaits. White bass are fair to good on slabs and Humdingers. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines and juglines. Bream are good on cut nightcrawlers.

BRAUNIG Water stained; 66 degrees. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are excellent on liver and perch near Dead Tree Point, and down rigging spoons near the dam and jetty. Redfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on shrimp, cheesebait, cut bait, and liver.

BRIDGEPORT Water fairly clear; 68-75 degrees; 9.92' low. Black bass are fair on medium running crankbaits, Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and drop-shot rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs and Humdingers. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. Channel catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

BROWNWOOD Water stained; 64 degrees; 5.90’ low. Black bass to 4 pounds are excellent on chartreuse Bass Hogg spinnerbaits, craw Bass Hogg jigs, Persuader crankbaits, and watermelon red GrandeBass 6” Baby Rattle Snakes along the shoreline, among rocks, and near dead grass in 1 – 5 feet. Hybrid striper are fair trolling deep running crankbaits. White bass to 2 pounds are excellent on Li’l Fishies and crankbaits from lighted docks and off points at night. Crappie are excellent on Li’l Fishies and jigs along the shoreline in 1 – 5 feet and over brush piles in 12 – 15 feet. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 8 – 10 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with perch in 6 – 18 feet.

BUCHANAN Water clear; 66 degrees; 16.64’ low. Black bass are good on JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters, Curb's in.erraticin. jigs, and wacky rigged watermelon/red Whacky Sticks in stickups and flooded grass back in creeks and pockets in 3 – 6 feet. Striped bass are fair jigging white Curb's bucktail jigs and drifting live bait around Shaw Island in 15 – 30 feet. White bass are good vertically jigging Bleeding Shad Tiny Traps and Pirk Minnows above Paradise Point. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are good on juglines and trotlines above Paradise Point.

CADDO Water off color; 70-76 degrees; 1.91' high. Black bass are good on flukes and Senkos. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows in the creek channel bends. White bass are good on Road Runners. Catfish are fair to good on prepared baits.

CALAVERAS Water stained; 66 degrees. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are good on spoons and striper jigs near the dam, and on chicken livers and shad near the dam and power lines. Redfish are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cheesebait, and shad. Blue catfish are good on cut bait and liver near 181 Cove and the railroad bridge. Yellow catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE Water clear; 63 degrees; 12.07’ low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin Whacky Sticks on jigheads, JDC spider Grubs, and grape Scoundrel worms on shaky jigheads in clear water along 6 - 12 foot break lines. Striped bass are fair trolling Gizz 4 crankbaits on down riggers, and vertically jigging silver Pirk Minnows and white �¼oz. Curb's striper jigs. White bass are fair vertically are fair vertically jigging �¼oz. Pirk Minnows, and trolling Shad Raps and Daiwa Shad Masters in 10 – 20 feet. Smallmouth bass are good on root beer JDC curl tail grubs, Rat-L-Traps, and 6” watermelon Scoundrels on jigheads along main lake points and ledges in 6 – 15 feet. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on live bait.

CEDAR CREEK Water lightly stained; 69-75 degrees; 0.02' low. Black bass are fair on red Rat-L-Traps, jigs and drop shot rigs - pre spawn are around the first drop-off. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad and slabs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair drift fishing with cut shad.

CHOKE CANYON Water clear; 67 degrees; 6.53’ low. Black bass are good on chartreuse/white large spinnerbaits and Texas rigged lizards and large worms. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnow tipped jigs. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on punchbait and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

COLEMAN Water clear; 65 degrees; 6.75’ low. Black bass are fair on soft plastic lizards, crankbaits, jerkbaits, and moccasin blue worms. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK Water clear; 78 degrees (85 degrees at discharge); 3.43’ low. Black bass are good on soft plastics and spinnerbaits in 6 – 10 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows in 9 – 12 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on perch and liver in 12 – 18 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch in 12 – 15 feet.

COLORADO CITY Water clear; 58 degrees; 9.34' low. Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water clear. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on minnows and silver spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and green tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp.

CONROE Water murky; 0.61’ high. Black bass are good on watermelon red and watermelon/green Carolina and Texas rigged soft plastics, and on spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and green tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and cheesebait.

COOPER Water lightly stained; 68-74 degrees; 5.68' low. Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and slow-rolled spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair to good on slabs and live shad. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

FAIRFIELD Water fairly clear; 74-88 degrees. No report available.

FALCON Water off color; 72 degrees. Black bass are fair on watermelon and chartreuse soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and deep running crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. FORK Water lightly stained; 69-74 degrees; 0.15' high. Black bass are fair to good on soft plastics fished in the shallows, chatterbaits and Rat-L-Traps - fish spotted on beds. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared baits.

FT. PHANTOM HILL Water clear; 57 degrees; 3.17' low. Black bass are fair on live bait. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on minnows and chrome/blue crankbaits. Catfish are fair on live bait and cut shad.

GRANBURY Water clear; 1.54’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon red and watermelon green soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on minnows and white striper jigs. HOUSTON COUNTY Water stained; 66 degrees; 1.04’ high. Black bass are good on black soft plastic lizards near the marina in 5 – 8 feet, and on chartreuse buzzbaits in 1 – 2 feet. Crappie are fair on live minnows on the north side of the lake and off flats near points. Bream are fair on live worms off piers. RAY HUBBARD Water off color; 66-74 degrees; 1.43’ low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on topwaters, white or chartreuse slabs and shad pattern Bass Assassins on a jighead. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Striped bass are fair on minnows and white/green striper jigs. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait and cheesebait.
