Water BodyReportALAN HENRYWater lightly stained; 82–88 degrees; 8.17’ low. Black bass are good on topwaters early and late, midday switching to Texas rigs, medium running crankbaits and Senkos. BOB SANDLINWater lightly stained; 84–89 degrees; 4.39’ low. Black bass are fair on medium crankbaits in 6–8 feet. Deep water brush piles are best later in the day using football jigs or Carolina rigs. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs over brush piles and mid– to deep–water stickups. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on trotlines or juglines with Redneck’s Catfish Bait Soap.

BUCHANANWater murky; 86–90 degrees; 25.89’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon flukes, chartreuse Pop–R’s, and black/blue Whacky Sticks on jigheads off points early. Striped bass are fair on Spoiler Shads near the dam early. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel catfish are good on shrimp, minnows, and cheesebait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on perch upriver.

CADDOWater stained; 84–90 degrees; 0.90’ low. Black bass are fair on topwaters early, switching to Texas rig soft plastics in green pumpkin later in the day. White and yellow bass are good on slabs and jigs. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and nightcrawlers. FAIRFIELDFishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.

FALCONWater clear; 88–92 degrees; 39.34’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin finesse worms on shakyheads around main lake points in 6–10 feet – fish being caught from deeper brush piles as well. Crappie are fair on minnows. GREENBELTWater stained; 81–87 degrees; 39.83’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, shallow running crankbaits and jigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows. The Old Marina Point ramp is still open.

HOUSTON COUNTYWater clear; 88–92 degrees; 1.10’ low. Black bass to 5 pounds are good on blue wacky worms near Paradise Island in 5 feet. Crappie are good on minnows around brush in 10–14 feet. Bream are good on live worms off grass beds. Catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch in 20 feet.

HUBBARD CREEK82–88 degrees; 17.84’ low. Black bass are fair to good on Pop–Rs and Zara Spooks early and late, midday switching to DD22s, Texas rigs, jigs and drop shot rigs.
