Meet Charles Stuart, The Bass Doctor.

Born and educated in England, Charles worked in the airline industry for 25 years. He traveled extensively and lived and worked in several European counties plus the Middle and Far East.
He fished professionally in England from 1970 (aged 16) until 1983, when he emigrated to the United States of America. After learning how to fish for bass in local ponds, and lakes, he resumed his professional angling career in the US where he fished B.A.S.S. RED MAN, FOXWOODS and the ABC Tours in the Northeast.
Charles has made several TV commercials for his sponsors and recently made a guest appearance on the Sick Kids Foundation “Legends on the Bay Tournament” where he fished with some of the legends of Canadian Ice Hockey. The show was aired prior to Super Bowl last year.
Charles lived on Long Island, New York for over 20 years, where he fished most lakes, rivers, streams and ponds on the island. He has also fished Bassmasters, RED MAN (now the BFL) Foxwoods and ABC tournaments from the Canadian border south to Florida and west towards Tennessee and Alabama in search of large and smallmouth bass. He became a naturalized American Citizen in 2002.

One of his prime objectives is to use the knowledge he has gained to teach the next generation of fishermen and women the joy of the sport and the art of "catching". Unlike the more conventional sports played in North America, all members of the family can enjoy fishing. It is a sport that does not place pressure on a child to succeed, thereby building the child's confidence and self-esteem.

Writing articles for several newspapers and magazines, Charles writes from the heart and his articles have often been described as a “chat with a friend”, talking with the reader, not at them!

On Valentines Day 2004, Charles moved to Ontario, Canada to head up an American based company as General Manager- CANADA specializing in the movement of goods and supplies for the aviation industry in which he has worked since the age of 18. His love affair with Canada is still as good as the first day he arrived, despite the extended close season for bass fishing (damn it!).

Charles continues to write and give seminars and lectures on fishing. HE continues to fish on Lake Ontario and Erie as well as many of the smaller lakes in Canada including Simcoe and Scugog.
