St. Croix Fly has unveiled the two newest series of their premium fly rods at the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) Confluence. The new EVOS and EVOS Salt fly rods. These two high-performance rod series have been three years in the making to have rods that combine power and precision like nothing else. Both of them are made from the best available materials and technologies, superior design capabilities, pride in craftsmanship, and unmatched vertical manufacturing capabilities to build fly rods with no compromises anywhere through the build process.
Not wanting to build around the status quo, St. Croix Fly challenges it. Their aim for the EVOS series has the bar set high for multi-technique performance. The rods are designed for the hardcore anglers who schedule their life around the seasonal changes of the rivers and streams they fish. There are 14 four-piece models of EVOS rods ranging from line sizes #4 through #8. MSRP for the EVOS series rods is $975.
The EVOS Salt series has been designed to be the optimal rod for critical control in any saltwater fishery, from poling the flats to chasing pelagics offshore. The Salt rods will be available in seven four-piece models, ranging from #6 to #12 line sizes. MSRP for the EVOS Salt series rods is $1025.
