The South has one major addition to the Sportsman's world that few probably never think about visiting. It's to fishermen, what the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is to golfers. I'm talking about the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. The South's Crown Jewel.

The Tombigbee Waterway is rich in tradition, and history. This 234 mile long waterway is one of the top sports fishing spots in the nation. Many people just think of the waterway as exactly that, a waterway. Although this waterway is truly used to move barges of material things to & from the Gulf, it is also home to some of the best fishing this nation has.

Whether it be bass, bream, catfish, walleye, sauger, or crappie. This waterway offers it all. This waterway is made up of over 40,000 acres of lakes. And the Federal Govt. put over $50 million dollars worth of facilities throughout this vast region to accomodate the men and women that enjoy our great outdoors.

From giving the novice campers a great wilderness thrill, to the boating family with all their jet skis, and ski boats. You have thousands of acres to handle any and all of the hunting needs that the Mid-South is known for. And you have some of the greatest fishing habitat in the country. This waterway has it all. As we go along this upcoming year, we will be breaking down some of these great waterways and the beautiful lakes that make them up.

We here at Bass Boat Magazine strive to provide our readers information on such great waterways and sportsmen features. Whether you and your family want to learn about fishing, boating, camping, or just plain enjoying the outdoors, you'll find something here that will interest you.

This forum will be directed at the Southeastern part of our great country. There are other forums in this great magazine that can cover any part of the country that you might be interested in. So take a stroll through the site, you'll not be disappointed.
