Man, I learned how to bass fish on a worm and remember setting that 1st hook.. No joke, I remember my 1st bass on a plastic worm! Until the last couple of years, worms were my lure of choice. Since buying a boat again and getting really into bass fishing on a bigger level, topwater has taken over my #1 choice. Whether a walk the dog motion, popping, or soft plastic swim bait, there's nothing that beats the explosion of a onster bass slamming a lure on the surface. For a while there, you couldn't get me away from a Rebel Pop-R. Have caught some hawgs on it! Recently, I really started fishing a River2Sea Rover #98 and right now, it's probably my topwater lure of choice.
What do you guys like fishing? Are you a topwater kinda guy or a flipping bottom bouncer. I know the bigger hawgs will most probably hit a slow bottom type lure but you never know.... Bggest bass i've caught in the Everglades was caught on a stickbait that only dove 1-2 feet.
