I am normally a shallow water fisherman probably 75% of the time so I run the motor pretty shallow inorder to prevent any damage.
But when I do venture into deeper water I will drop the motor low enough to keep the motor in the water even when windy conditions exsist. I have never really thought bout it till yesterday.........Does a trolling motor work more proficently the deeper it is or does it work better when shallow.
