With the cooler temps here for most of us " both water and air " getting an outboard up to or as close to operating tempature before dropping the hammer and getting underway I think is a pretty big deal...I fish a small lake sometimes that is 15 min. away (1,700 acres) and there is a small pot tx that is held at night in the summer and daytime in the fall and winter...most of just drop the boat in the water and troll over to the blast off sight (bouy line) its real close to the ramp...Then the tx director starts calling out #s and alot of guys have a drag race to this bridge bout 3 min. away to fish the rip rap...They has already been a guy cold seize a direct injected motor....

What do you guys do?....I let mine run till I see the thermostat is already opened and pushing water out and then easy rev in neautral a few seconds and then ease up on plane then hammer down ????
