well got off from work early today and convinced my 7 year old we should go fishing. everything went smooth until it was time to pull the boat off the trailer. my johnson thought it was time to again remind me why i will never again own an omc motor. finally just shoved it off the trailer and parked it with the trolling motor. i told my daughter we would use the trolling motor to go fish the two small coves across from the marina, since the marina wont allow fishing inside the marina. we were headed across and i was still cranking on the outboard when i needed to adjust the trolling motor. when i went to adjust the speed the trolling motor broke and was stuck on high, which caused me to have to just pull the plug on it. finally just as my cranking battery was about dead the outboard finally started. we made a 20 min run just to put a little charge back in the starting battery then loaded it up on the trailer. fortunately about a month ago my dad brought me a spare trolling motor he bought at a garage sale for $15 so thats going on the boat and ill fix the other one this winter. no fishing but at least we didnt have to be towed in :wallbash:
