I've got one mounted inside the rear compartment of my '85 Venture but the wiring's been chewed up and only 1 wire looked like it was OK. Not sure where it leads to. There's 4 wires coming from it and and one of them looked like they had been connected to the battery. The motor seemed to start OK without it so I'm really not sure what it's there for. Oh yeah, the motor that's on it now is a 1984 115 hp Mariner straight line 6. I wanted to snap a picture last night but just ran out of time.
