Some of the threads below do mention different companies using the same basic molds. I know that Fisher fiberglass boats were made using hulls from a different brand. It costs a lot of money to make a true and clean mold to produce a quality product and these often change hands as a mfg'er updates a design and builds new molds.
It would be nice if people who are familiar with the different molds and know the companies they started with would list the the various brands and their twin sisters in hull design. Among those I've seen listed on the board is
ProCraft-Astro-Fisher-Nitro relationships
Champion-Stratos
Javelin-Stratos
Sterling-Gambler
And which boats are true "stand alone" handcrafted and not as so often referred to as "cookie cutter" hulls.
