Ok, so I bought a 1984 Aeroglass bow-rider just for the 140 Johnson that was on it.
The transom is shot and the floor needs replaced. It has a nice trailer on it that I would like to use for my dads boat but it is obviously designed for the Aeroglass (tri-hull) and my dads Newman is a deep v (and much more narrow).
The Aeroglass would be a fun boat to bring back to life with my dads 115 Johnson on it. The gel is in pretty good shape but I am thinking the transom/floor will take more money to fix than I could hope to get out of the rig. Who knows what the stringers look like.
Do enough people buy "project" boats to justify re-rigging the 115 on it and sell the whole thing cheap?
Any ideas?
