What to Expect When Registering My First Boat

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what I can expect when I register my new boat. I currently live in Overland Park, Kansas and am planning on registering my new used boat in Missouri with my families Table Rock Lake residence due to cheaper fees. I know I will have to pay the Sales Tax and registration and fees, but can someone tell me what I can expect the amount of Property Tax to be and when I am suppose to pay this? My boat is going to be around the 7,000 to 7,500 dollar amount so I am just wanting to know what I can be expecting. Thanks for your help. I hate that the process is a little bit confusing or I might just be a ROOKIE!!
