It's COLD outside! I'm sitting in Columbia MO and the temp is 8 degrees with 15 MPH winds.

Which brings to mind for all those like me who fish year round (January Th next derby) keep in mind your trailer during the colder months. One of the biggest issues you will run into is varying tire pressures.
As the outside temps drop so will your tire pressures. Most manufacturers provide a "cold" PSI to use make sure and bring your tires up to the recommended PSI before taking a trip. The biggest enemy of our newer radial tires used on trailers is LOW pressure! Low pressure will cause a build up of heat in the rubber walls and tread surface and can/will cause failure. The sidewall typically separate from the tread surface and the failure mode is very apparent. It is not a road hazard issue and will not be covered by your tire warranty.
Keep a tire pressure gauge and use it not only on your vehicle but your trailer also!

Good fishing and stay WARM!!!
