The SHO's are getting popular in our bass club. Two members just bought Bass Cats w/SHO's on the back, a 200 and a 250 a third bought a 225 for his Ranger. All had E-tecs before( 2-150's & 1-225) all blew powerheads and two, lower units. We have a 4th member with a 200 E-tec and has spent all summer with the motor in/out of the shop. He blew a powerhead, lower unit and then problems with the 2nd powerhead bogging down while running. A tec-rep fineally told the dealer to replace all the injectors/fuel rail etc. Now it seems to be running good.
I know the other companies have had their problems, but why is it you hear so much more about Evinrude E-tecs?
