Well I usually make a effort to fish every Friday the 13th. (always had good luck) but the wind has been howling so bad here for a week that I didn't bother launching the boat.
With a bad case of cabin fever my better half & I decided to make a day of it while visiting my daughter .... a nice pond on the property doesn't hurt either
Right away we caught several buck bass in the 2 - 3 lbs. range, the beds already loaded up with males watching over their babies.
My best for the day was 6.5 lbs, daughter had one close to it & my wife had 2 head shakers on that she couldn't even slow down.
