Most boat manufacturers sell onboard chargers such as MinnKota's 440 four bank system. MinnKota's system provides a three stage charge which provides bulk charging for when you've just come off the water and need the deep charge, absorption rates to make sure you have a full deep charge and then for those of us that will have the boat sitting for a week or so at one time, a maintenance level.
Maintenance levels provide the amount of charging energy to maintain a full system charge and watch the battery temps so that when you return on Friday and want to hit the water you will have the performance from your TM you're expecting.
