The 100 Bass days are over for now. I started and ended the day as the only boat on the water. At least the parking was good. The weather was windy and overcast, with some very light drizzles, and the water was in the low 80s. It was actually really nice out there.

Fishing was very slow. We started out by casting frogs along the pad lines and got a few hits but nothing landed. When that died out, I picked up three Bass between 1 and 3 pounds by slow rolling a green and red spinner bait along canal junctions, rock points, and flats entrances. They were dark in color and seemed to be hanging out deep. I also picked up (not by choice) a pair of Bowfins with the same technique. The second one absolutely crushed the spinner bait and weighed in at almost 8 pounds.

Nothing else from worms to flukes to crankbaits drew even a single bite.
