Lake Okeechobee recap. Caught anywhere from 30-40 bass. Biggest was a 4 pounder that hit a Big EZ swimbait early in the morning. Lure of choice was definitely a black/blue flake senko. Great learning experience for me today. Pretty much flipped 90% of the day. Didn't even pick up a topwater lure all day. As you can see from the videos, lot's of grass and pads so pop-r's and zara spooks weren't an option for me today. Flipping worms in pockets of sand surrounded by grass was the way to go. Those bass hide in the thick grass and ambush prey as it passes through these pockets. Amazing day overall and really enjoyed flipping for a big part of the day. Biggest takeaway for me was..... As soon as you set the hook, reel for your life and get the bass up and above the grass. No joke, must have lost another 20 bass today that dove into the grass. Once they went down, it was virtually impossible to get them out. Enjoy the videos!
