EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR
Fall fishing is well underway at this Lincoln County reservoir. This is the time of year to target hungry brown trout. Both browns and tiger trout have been hitting mini marshmallows or PowerBait. Spinners and other hardware have not been as productive. Go prepared for cold nighttime temperatures and possible weather changes.
ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR
The water is low, but bass have been hitting on small versions of traditional bass lures and some plastic baits. Crappie are providing some action on small worms suspended below a bobber.
LAKE MEAD
Anglers are seeing an increase in smallmouth bass numbers in the lower basin, and finding them in more places. Though the action isn't fast, largemouth and smallmouth bass are both hitting on plastics. Anglers may also find some success with top-water baits in the early morning. Striper fishing has been slow to fair. Shad imitations and cut anchovies have been taking the fish. Cut anchovies and stink baits have been taking catfish.
LAKE MOHAVE
Striped bass fishing remains sluggish on much of Lake Mohave though anglers are marking fish. Some fishermen are catching fish while drifting whole or cut anchovies. Catfish have been providing fair to good action in coves. Stocked rainbows have been providing hit-and-miss action at Willow Beach.

Here are some of the successful anglers from Lake Mojave. From left to right: Bruce Silat with a 42-inch, 41.46 pound striper, Gavin holds up the fish he pulled in at Willow Beach.
LAUGHLIN
Anglers reported good fishing for large rainbows along the Colorado River below Davis Dam. Popular techniques have been using small lures or PowerBait from either boat or shore.
PAHRANAGAT WILDLIFE REFUGE
Anglers are finding some success at the upper marsh for panfish and catfish. Mealworms or night crawlers below a bobber will catch fish.
WAYNE E. KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA
No current report, however, fall trout fishing can be very good at all of the reservoirs on the management area. Trout will be looking to put on some weight between now and ice up, so fishing action should be good in the coming weeks. Go prepared for weather changes and mosquitoes.
URBAN PONDS
What will probably be the last catfish plant of the year is scheduled today for each of the urban ponds. Catfish generally feed toward the bottom so stink baits or night crawlers can be a good bait option.
