Arbuckle:: March 30. Elevation 5 3/4 ft. below normal, water 54.Crappie are on the move from deep to shallow, some being caught at 20 ft. brush piles. Bass fair to good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, Alabama rigs and jerk baits. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Jack Melton.
Blue River: March 12. Elevation normal, water 42 and clear. Trout good on black and red Super Dupers, garlic scented Power Bait and small in-line spinnerbaits with flashy dressed hooks just off edges of deeper pools. Fly fishing good on woolly buggers, prince nymphs, pink Frenchies and San Juan worms above and below waterfalls and downstream from breaks in current. Channel catfish good on stinkbait and chicken liver in deep pools. Approximately 2,000 rainbow trout were stocked on March 5. Broken Bow: March 30. Elevation rising, water mid-50s. Spotted bass good on grubs in the upper end. White bass good on yellow rooster tails and grubs; starting to stage for run. Crappie fair to good on minnows and grubs moving into the shallows around structure. Walleye good on watermelon, smoke and witches brew grubs with 1/4 oz. lead head and rogues in the upper end. Eufaula: March 30. Elevation 1/2 ft. above normal, water 55 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on jerk baits and crankbaits in rocky areas. White bass good on small jigs moving up feeder creeks. Hugo: March 30. Elevation 2 ft. above normal, water 56 and muddy. Largemouth bass fair on spinner baits and soft plastic baits in flooded timber. White bass are staging up the creek waiting for the next rain. Catfish fair cut bait below the dam. Crappie good on minnows at 10-12 ft. Konawa: April 1. Elevation normal, water 56 and clear. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits, slabs and soft plastic baits at 8-10 ft. around points, submerged structure and in the discharge canal. White bass and striped bass hybrids good on cut bait, live bait, crankbaits and slabs around points, creek beds, road beds and in the discharge canal. Channel catfish fair on worms, cut bait and stinkbait near the inlet canal, along rocks on the dam and at 5-8 ft. around windy points. All other fishing slow. Lower Mountain Fork: March 30. Water flow 100 c.f.s above the Powerhouse, visibility 52 inches, water 45 and clear. Best areas are Spillway Creek, Evening Hole and Zone 2. Best access points are Beaver Lodge Nature Trail, Evening Hole Bridge and Old Park Dam. Best fly fishing patterns are Sparkle Dun in BWO color - size 20, March Brown in natural color - size 14, in Phlamin Pheasant Tail in natural color - size 18, March Brown Wet in natural color - size 14, Elk Wing Caddis in tan color - size 16, Soft Hackle in olive color - size 16, Hare's Ear in natural color - size 14, Spillway Creek Caddis in olive color - size 14, and Flying Squirrel in natural color - size 16. Largemouth bass fair to good on Alabama rigs and motor oil colored salt craws at 10-20 ft. and on shad colored rattletraps and chartreuse spinnerbaits with a red blade at 2-5 ft. around structure. Murray: March 25. Elevation 6-7 ft. below normal, water 49 and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass good on jerk baits, spinner baits and soft finesse jigs. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 6-7 ft. around brush piles and off rocky points. Walleye fair on chartreuse jigs at the dam in the morning and last hour of daylight in evening. Robber's Cave State Park: No report submitted. Robert S. Kerr: March 31. Crappie excellent on minnows and jigs up Big San Bois Creek, Port and Hawthorn pits; starting to move shallower as water temperatures rise. Bass good on jigs in grass in shallow coves and on crankbaits off points on windier days. White bass good trolling yellow grubs up the Canadian River. Texoma: March 30. Elevation 6 1/2 ft. below normal, water 44 and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair to good on plastic combination baits at 10-20 ft. along riprap. Channel and blue catfish fair to good on live bait and stinkbait at 10-20 ft. from Butcher Pen ramp to the confluence of the lake and Sanders Island view on the Red River.
