Right nw there are 2 great fish booming in the shallows. Bass of course and crappie. Get ANYWHERE near a dting stand of pads and throw what ya want and the bass are slamming the baits. There are reported catches of bass on Flukes,spinnerbaits,shallow cranks,brush hogs,jigs.............Its a bonnaza rightnow.
Also with the drop in water temps the crappie have started to move in. VERY VERY nice catches of 1 1/2lb-2lb crappie are happening right now. Best bait for the bigger crappie is a little bait that looks like a mini fluke..called a Finesse.....smoke shad color is a killer right now.
