The NEW PENN Prevail III Rods: Upgraded Saltwater Rods
PENN Fishing has put in the work and made some significant changes to the Prevail line of saltwater fishing rods. The new Prevail III rods come with a new composition and performance profile in addition to strengthened rod features for the new inshore, surf, boat, and jigging models. Building upon the already reliable previous generation of saltwater rods, the new Prevail III will give anglers added sensitivity and strength to match whatever fishing situation they are in. These rods incorporate some of the same build qualities and features found in PENN’s high-end saltwater rods to give a premium feeling rod for an affordable price.
Starting off with the inshore model of the Prevail IIIs, these rods are built on a 100% 24-ton graphite composition blank, to give anglers extra sensitivity in the rod. That way they can easily detect strikes and structure when fishing. All the while the blanks give the added strength needed to easily land their catch. The inshore rods have premium cork grips so anglers have a comfortable rod grip to hold on long days on the water. For the surf, boat, and jigging models of the Prevail III, the blanks are made of advanced composite graphite. This gives the blanks strength, versatility, and great performance whichever model of rod they are in. These rods feature rubber shrink tube or high-density EVA grips to have a comfortable grip that won’t be slick even in wet conditions. All four lines of the Prevail III rods come equipped with one-piece stainless-steel PENN Dura-Guides, built for exceptional durability and performance with any type of fishing line.
